So many renters have already lost their income due to Covid-19, and they shouldn’t be burdened with debt while navigating a health care crisis. We are proposing subsidies that would get renters direct support to cover 80% of their household’s monthly rent, up to $2,500 per home, per month, for up to four months. The subsidies would arrive as quickly as possible and also be open to small and medium sized businesses to help with their leases.
