Join New Democrats from Parkdale—High Park and neighbouring ridings as we march in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
We'll meet inside the north entrance of High Park at Bloor Street West & High Park Avenue. Watch for our signs!
The parade will move west along Bloor to Jane and then proceed north along Jane, ending in the parking lot of St. Pius X School.
The duration of the parade is one hour.
Canada was the first country to recognize Ukraine’s independence 30 years ago and we must continue to support an independent and democratic Ukraine.
For months, New Democrats have called on the Liberal government to remove remaining barriers to bringing Ukrainians to Canada. Those seeking refuge are almost exclusively women, children, and seniors who are in an incredibly vulnerable situation. The federal NDP caucus continues to call for visa-free travel so that Ukrainians who want to get to safety in Canada can do so as quickly, and as easily as possible.
