Taiaiako'n—Parkdale—High Park Federal Nomination Meeting

This event has already taken place.

After a comprehensive search process, the Taiaiako’n—Parkdale—High Park NDP is calling a federal nomination meeting for Saturday, November 23 from 2-4pm.

Our federal riding has been represented by a Liberal for the past decade—a time marked by broken promises and disappointment: from electoral reform, to a weak climate plan that continues to subsidize oil and gas companies, all while prices and corporate profits rise far faster than our wages do.

The bright spots—including the beginning of a national pharmacare and dental care plan—have only happened with the NDP holding the balance of power and making the most of it.

The NDP delivers results when we need them most, and that's why we are thrilled to share that Bhutila Karpoche is seeking the nomination to be our candidate in the next federal election.

Bhutila has a proven track record of winning results for us at Queen's Park, and we are excited she’s bringing her passion and principled determination to the federal level.

Join us on Saturday, November 23 from 2-4pm to nominate Bhutila, as we ramp up our preparation for the next federal election. Everyone is welcome to join us, and after the meeting is done, we'll come together for Gorshey—a traditional Tibetan circle dance.

Across the country, we are seeing NDP governments and campaigns that are standing up to the Conservatives and representing the vision and values we hold for our communities. We know our NDP candidates will represent us well at all levels of government, and we are ready to work with you to make that a reality.

All NDP members whose ordinary place of residence was established in the electoral district of Taiaiako’n—Parkdale—High Park and who were in good standing on or before the 45th calendar day before the nomination meeting are eligible to vote on the acclamation at this meeting.

Voter registration will open at 1:30pm and close at 2:15pm.

There is one approved nomination contestant for Taiaiako’n—Parkdale—High Park: Bhutila Karpoche.

You can learn more about Bhutila Karpoche by visiting www.bhutilaformp.ca.
