Consent Awareness Week - Subway Stop

Join us as we gather petition signatures and talk to our neighbours about Consent Awareness Week.

Our MPP, Alexa Gilmour, has co-sponsored a bill to have the third week of September declared as Consent Awareness Week. The goal is to facilitate expanded consent awareness education, programming and initiatives in Ontario schools, workplaces and across the province. 

Sexual assault is one of the most underreported, pervasive and gender-based forms of violence in Ontario; and while approximately one in three Canadian women over age 15 has experienced sexual assault, only 6% of sexual assaults are reported to police.
