The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us that to protect the public, we must empower Ontarians to stay home when they are sick.
When sick Ontarians are forced to work because they are worried about losing pay or their jobs, they will show up and risk infecting others on their commute to work, their colleagues at work, or clients they may be interacting with.
The government needs to provide paid sick leave if they are truly committed to protecting the public.
